Meditation doesn’t have to be complicated. It’s simply turning off the noise which we are constantly bombarded with. Just quiet the mind…dive inside yourself. My favorite visualization is sitting on a beach gazing at the vast ocean and breaking surf. Focusing on the breath. Inhale to count of 4, hold for count of 4, then release to count of 4. If thoughts interrupt, place them in a bubble and let them float away. Meditation cleanses and nourishes you from within.
A simple exercise to release negativity: Breathe In – with the thought “Let” Breathe Out – with the thought “Go” Repeat at least three times
The depths teach us how to better appreciate the heights. Difficulties often precede enlightenment.
When newly diagnosed, I bought enough books to fill a library. I gained strength from reading about how other people had triumphed over cancer, it was encouraging. As personal as it is, I wanted to pay it forward by sharing my own story… to pass on the wisdom I learned along the way. You never know when you write a book and put yourself out there, how people are going to respond. At best, you hope your words will touch…..
